I got a brand new Countryman PHEV for my wife last year summer, but now, due to changing circumstances, we’re considering a change. Despite the car being in excellent condition with only 10,000 miles, we were shocked to be offered $18,000 less than its purchase price. The same model is listed online for $12,000 to $13,000 more. After speaking with a Mini salesman, we learned the low offer was due to concerns about used electric vehicles, even though Mini still sells them at a premium. Now we’re questioning whether we should have gone for a more traditional model instead, righhht???

Cars lose value from month to month. It is quite expected. And let's take into consideration we talk about cars that have a battery... people are very cautious when they buy a used car mostly because of the battery.

Yes, you are right! The prices for batteries are just insane. You could buy a used car with the money for a battery.

I get that cars lose value, but it’s frustrating when the offer is so low despite the car being in great condition. The battery concern is something we hadn’t considered.
