Mini Countryman Engine Fault Codes

So I’m getting these fault codes 4E04 and 4E09 on my Mini Countryman, and it looks like they’re tied to the swirl flap system. The car’s running fine otherwise, but I’m thinking a quick intake manifold clean might sort this out. Anyone else dealt with this or have thoughts on the best way to go about fixing it?
 
Try to take the engine cover off and see how easy it would be to remove the intake manifold and to have the swirl flap motor link rod disconnected and reconnected. Then run a scan and clear the fault codes. That should fix it.
 
Thanks for the tip! I followed your advice and everything’s good now! The car’s running fine, and the fault codes haven’t popped back up. Really appreciate it!
