New injector doesn't fit like the others

Hello everyone! I want to replace the second injector from the left because it failed, but I got this problem when I wanted to put the working one: it didn't sit fully flush with the engine like the other injectors so inspecting more I noticed some metal partially blocking the injector hole from the other side. Is this normal? Or am I missing a step in the installation process? Thanks!

That metal blocking the hole doesn't sound normal. It could be debris or part of the engine. Carefully clean it and recheck the injector seating before installing.
